The tentative results of a parallelization of ruderal plant communities and the mapping units of potential natural vegetation were sketched. The goal of the parallelization is the use of the indication properties of ruderal communities in vegetation mapping. The link between the distribution of the units of potential natural, vegetation under consideration and the distribution of ruderal plant communities, determined in the case of those communities dominated by apophytes (the nitrophilous fringe plant communities and the group of ruderal and semiruderal xerothermic plant communities).
