Relationship between loco motor activity and respiration rate of the rusty grain beetle cryptolestes ferrugineus at temperatures from 1 celsius to 30 celsius

The quantitative relationship between temperature and locomotion and respiration was studied with the rusty grain beetle, C. ferrugineus. The rates of locomotion and respiration increased as the temperature increased from 1-30.degree. C. Respiration and locomotion were shown to be logarithmic functions of temperature over the temperature range studied.
