Relationship between ortets ramets and its efficiency in microtest tapping for early rubber plant selection

, : Relationship between ortets ramets and its efficiency in microtest tapping for early rubber plant selection. Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira 19(8): 1003-1010

The relationship of the microtest tapping between ortets and their respective ramets was studied, aiming to evaluate the magnitude of the correlations that exist among them in the early high yielding ortet selection. Three rounds of microtest tapping were used on each 1 yr old ortet and its respective ramets. Low relationship was shown for the 1st and 2nd rounds ortet microtest tapping when correlated with the 3 rounds of microtest tappings. The 3rd round of the ortet microtest correlated with the 3 rounds of ramets microtest tapping individually showed high and significant simple correlation, which indicates high value for the 3rd ortet microtest tapping in the selection of superior ortets.
