Repeated acute dystonia following administration of methoclopramide and fluphenazine

Repeated acute dystonia following administration of methoclopramide and fluphenazine

Ugeskrift for Laeger 150(11): 681

A case of acute dystonia following administration of methoclopramide is presented. Administration of fluphenazine after a fortnight resulted in recurrence of the symptoms. This case confirms the importance of knowledge of patients' tendencies to develop side-effects and of the pattern of side-effects of the preparations concerned.
