Reproducibility of the energy dispersion roentgeno fluorescent method of analysis in connection with the study of soil bulk composition

An evaluation was conducted of the reproducibility of the energy dispersion roentgen-fluorescent method of analysis (RFA) of bulk content of SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, K2O, CaO, MgO, TiO2 and the usefulness of RFA for study of the bulk composition of soil by analysis of the spatial variation of their composition. Analysis of almost 300 samples of soddy-podzolic soil showed that RFA has sufficiently good reproducibility; by analysis of the great spatial variation in the content of basic oxides, the method is completely suitable for conducting soil bulk analysis in solution of a wide range of problems.
