Reproduction and human welfare a challenge to research a review of the reproductive sciences and contraceptive development

Reproduction And Human Welfare A Challenge to Research A Review Of The Reproductive Sciences And Contraceptive Development 622

Results are presented of a 2-yr study to assess the gains made in understanding complex morphological, physiological and biochemical processes of the male and female reproductive systems; a determination is made of what financial and human resources are brought to bear on this field of science. The volume opens with a summary of findings and recommendations. The appendixes provide a bibliography of reports; a review of human reproduction and prospective means of fertility control; tables of country and agency funding data; and some estimates of funding needs for adequate exploitation of existing knowledge. The book will be of value to both the biomedical world and the general public.
