Reproduction of imprinting in chick recipients under the effect of brain homogenates of imprinted chick donors

Reproduction of imprinting in chick recipients under the effect of brain homogenates of imprinted chick donors

Zhurnal Vysshei Nervnoi Deyatel'nosti Imeni I P Pavlova 32(5): 989-990

The question of whether it is possible to reproduce imprinting in untrained chick-recipients under the effect of brain homogenates of imprinted chick-donors was studied. A biochemical substrate or complex of substances which promote reproduction of imprinting apparently is transmitted from the brain homogenate of imprinted chick-donors to untrained chick-recipients.
