Reproduction of non germinating rice oryza sativa seeds by the tissue culture method

Reproduction of non germinating rice oryza sativa seeds by the tissue culture method

Sel'skokhozyaistvennaya Biologiya (4): 14-17

The in vitro seed germination allows to increase rice seed springing from 4-13 to 31-62%. If the springing is completely lost during prolonged starvation, the in vitro germination combined with different stimulating agents has no positive effect. In seeds "intermedium stage" is shown to be between losing the ability to germinate and its full biological destruction. Based on this the method is proposed for seed sowing quality restoration by artificially induced callus tissue.
