Yearling lake trout S. namaycush stocked in 1961 in Gamitagama, an Ontario [Canada] lake previously without this species, established a self-reproducing population. Planted fish first spawned at age 4+ in 1964 to produce the 1965 year-class. Four year-classes of naturally reproduced lake trout were present in the lake by 1969.
