Residual toxicity of 11 insecticide formulations to the mountain pine cone beetle conophthorus monticolae

Residual toxicity of 11 insecticide formulations to the mountain pine cone beetle conophthorus monticolae

Journal of the Georgia Entomological Society 16(1): 77-83

Adult mountain pine cone beetles [pest on Pinus monticola] were exposed to residues of 11 insecticide [carbaryl, chlorpyrifos, diazinon, fenitrothion, fenvalerate, lindane, methyl parathion, permethrin, resmethrin] formulations. After 24 h of exposure encapsulated resmethrin and fenvalerate were the most toxic, with LC50 values 325 and 65 times as toxic, respectively, as the least toxic formulation, encapsulated fenitrothion.
