A procedure was developed for the preparation of an isolated anterior hypophyseal lobe by removing its neurointermediate complex from the hypophysis. A stable positive effect was obtained when this preparation was used in doses equal to the hypophyseal dose or higher doses. Reduced (by 5 mg) doses are effective only at stable high temperatures in injections and maturation close to spawning temperatures threshold for this fish. The best results with these 2 species were obtained when a 25 mg dose was used in a wide range of temperatures.
