Role of micro circulatory disorders in the liver and mesentery in the pathogenesis of anaphylactic shock in rats

Patologicheskaya Fiziologiya i Eksperimental'naya Terapiya (2): 18-24

Contact fluorescent microscopy was used to show that the mechanisms of reduction in systemic arterial pressure during anaphylactic shock in rats are not linked with the deposition of blood in the abdominal organs. The character of microcirculatory changes in the portal system determines the severity of anaphylactic shock in this animal. The homeostatic role of the smooth muscles of the portal intrahepatic vessels in the development of anaphylactic shock is discussed.
