Abstract
Changes in cytoplasmic and ionically bound wall peroxidase were studied in K-treated isolated cucumber cotyledons in light and dark. Enhancement of activity showed concentration response with KCl and the magnitude of enhancement was higher in light. Kinetin also promoted peroxidase activity and K enhanced this promotion. GA was less effective in promoting the activity; K was active with GA only in the dark. Kinetin-stimulated peroxidase activity possibly required K.
