Physiologic maturity in grain sorghum was attained around 30 days after pollination in kharif [rainy season] and around 45 days in the rabi [dry season] season. In both seasons, the moisture content of the grain at physiologic maturity was about 29%. Varieties differed as regards time to attain physiologic maturity and moisture content at that stage. Short duration cultivars took more time to accumulate maximum dry weight than long duration varieties.
