Antibiotic sensitivity and resistance pattern of donor and recipient strains were evaluated by single disc antibiotic diffusion method. Resistance for oxytetracycline, tetracycline, chloramphenicol, triple sulfa and dihydrostreptomycin sulfate was transferred to Salmonella typhi and S. typhimurium via E. coli K-12 from resistant E. coli fecal strains. R-factors were characterized among donor and recipient strains.
