Sensitivity analysis of a coupled heat and mass transfer model in unsaturated porous media

A numerical and analytical method is described for the problem of coupled moisture and heat transfer in partially saturated soil. Significant differences between non-isothermal and isothermal profiles are observed. Sensitivity analysis is carried out, indicating that the term corresponding to phase change can be neglected. The same numerical procedure with small adaptations can also be applied to the non-linear problem.
