Single and combining effects of sowing date nitrogen fertilizing and growth regulators on culm stability and yield formation in winter rye ii. effect on yield components and grain yield

Results from 3-year field trials are used to investigate the single and combining effects of sowing date, nitrogen fertilizing and growth regulator on the formation of grain yield and yield components in winter rye. Due to minor plant density, the grain yield decreases with later sowing date. The crop-dependent combination of nitrogen fertilizing and growth regulator application allows to utilize yield reserves by controlling the yield formation process in the frame of crop management.
