The species specificity of rodent population dynamics was shown on the basis of the following species: Apodemus agrarius, Microtus fortis, Cricetulus barabensis. The effect of autoregulatory mehanisms on populational dynamics was discussed, as was the relationship between the autoregulatory mehanisms and the main biological features of each species. Presumably the self-regulation of rodent population is closely associated with the tactics of species reproduction, which may be realized only in a certain type of spatial structure of the population.
