Specifics of complex formation between chlorophyll and chlorophyllide and protein

, : Specifics of complex formation between chlorophyll and chlorophyllide and protein. Ukrayins'kyi Botanichnyi Zhurnal 42(2): 41-44

The artificial complexes of chlorophylls a, b and chlorophyllide a with the human serum albumin (HSA) and triton X-100 detergent were studied by the methods of the spectral-luminescent-analysis, gel-chromatography and sedimentation. In complexes of chlorophyllide a with HSA the absorption and fluorescence pigment maxima are considerably shifted as compared with the chlorophyll a and b spectra in analogous systems. The detergent produces a disaggregating effect on the pigment associates whose molecules include the phytol residue. The quantity of pigment molecules coupled with the protein is estimated. The state of pigments in the test systems was studied from the photo destructive oxidation rate.
