Spectacled warbler sylvia conspicillata new record and raddes warbler phylloscopus schwarzi new record at christianso denmark autumn 1976

, : Spectacled warbler sylvia conspicillata new record and raddes warbler phylloscopus schwarzi new record at christianso denmark autumn 1976. Dansk Ornitologisk Forenings Tidsskrift 72(1-2): 51-58

A spectacled warbler S. conspicillata and a Radde's warbler P. schwarzi were trapped and ringed at Christianso [Denmark] in the Baltic Sea on Sept. 20 and Sept. 21, 1976, respectively. Both were new to the Danish avifauna. Spectacled warbler was also new to the whole Scandinavian-Baltic region, while Radde's Warbler until now was recorded 5 times in Sweden and once in Poland. The record of the spectacled warbler seems accidental in the sense that a significant influence of reverse orientation and/or winddrift is considered unlikely. Until now extremely few birds were recorded in Northern Europe besides this bird.sbd.only 1 at Heligoland and 2 in England [UK] (all in Sept.-Oct.). There is much more information in the 33 European records of Radde's warbler. The distribution pattern of Pallas' warbler P. proregulus and the dusky warbler P. fuscatus were also discussed.
