Spectral analysis of cochlear bio potentials in evaluating the functional condition of the guinea pig inner ear

, : Spectral analysis of cochlear bio potentials in evaluating the functional condition of the guinea pig inner ear. Doklady Akademii Nauk Ukrainskoi SSR Seriya B Geologicheskie Khimicheskie i Biologicheskie Nauki (4): 57-60

Spectral estimates of bioelectric microphonic potentials and action potentials of the [guinea pig] cochlea were determined. Apparently, spectral characteristics of these potentials are different and enable a diagnostic classification to be made. A nonlinear dependence of the effective width of the energy spectrum on the acoustic signal intensity confirms the existence of the auditory feedback.

A 1-mo.-old infant had a protuberant congenital corneal dermoid that extended into the anterior chamber. The dermoid was excised in 2 stages.
