Spectral and chemical characterization of organic compounds a laboratory hand book

, : Spectral and chemical characterization of organic compounds a laboratory hand book. Spectral And Chemical Characterization Of Organic Compounds A Laboratory Hand Book 103

This book aims to bring together and conveniently present information that students in organic chemistry courses are likely to need in the laboratory for the characterization of organic compounds. Basic knowledge of the theoretical principles of spectroscopy is assumed. Systemic names of organic compounds are used throughout, though many of the older trivial names still in common use are given in addition. Contents include preliminary tests, chemical and spectroscopic characterization of functional groups, separation of organic mixtures, preparation of derivatives and tables of organic compounds and their derivatives. Students of pharmacy will be interested in the chapter on the characterization of pharmaceutical compounds.
