Spectral characteristics of solar radiation in a corn field
Spectral analysis was conducted in order to obtain the spectral characteristics of solar radiation in a corn field with portable spectroradiometer (LI-1800/LI-Cor. Co). Spectral reflectivity of solar energy in the bare soil increased from 3% to 35% as wavelength increased. When the leaf area index was 4.0, spectral reflectivity of solar energy was lower than 0.05 within the photosynthetically acitve radiation of 400-700nm due to absorption of leaves. Transmittance was accordingly decreased as leaf area index increased same as in the reflectivity. However, difficulty on simultaneous measurement of reflectivity and transmissivity was encountred when leaves moved away by the wind or cloud stationed over the field.
