Spectral correlational characteristics of the electrocardiogram during testing for short term memory 1. study of the spectral correlational parameters of potentials in the human neocortex during correct short term memorization
The functional importance of the spectral-correlational parameters of potentials of the human frontal and temporal neocortex was studied in practically healthy people, age 18-25, during correct memorization. The spectraof the power of potentials in the human neocortex evaluated in 4-s periods of analysis during short-term memory reflected the level of total activation of the brain, thus showing the relations between its level and the success of this activity. A deterioration in short-term memory was observed during a decrease and an increase in the total brain activation level. Change in the crosscorrelation coefficients between neocortical potentials in the same period of analysis reflected the degree of changes in the intensity of mental activity.
