Spectral differentiation of 3 3' di o methylellagic acid from 4 4' di o methylellagic acid

, : Spectral differentiation of 3 3' di o methylellagic acid from 4 4' di o methylellagic acid. Phytochemistry (Oxford) 26(7): 2124-2125

3,3'- and 4,4'-di-O-methylellagic acid [constituents of Lagerstroemia fauriei] were synthesized, and their spectra (IR, UV, 13CFT-NMR) were compared with each other. UV and 13C FT-NMR spectra were the most useful for distinguishing them.
