Spectral heterogeneity of the absorption band of bacteriochlorophyll of rhodospirillum rubrum based on the results of fluorescent picosecond spectroscopy
Fluorescence spectra of R. rubrum chromatophores were described as was a correlation between the average life-time of the chromatophore fluorescence and the length of the registration wave at room temperature. Data were presented on the kinetics of the extinquishment of the picosecond fluorescence of R. rubrum. The band B880 is heterogeneously broadened which fact should be taken into consideration when consideirng the transfer and capture of the excitations of reactions centers in the antenna forms of the pigment.
