, : Spectral studies on cytochrome d of azotobacter vinelandii. Current Microbiology 10(5): 309-312

CO binding and photodissociation (photolysis) properties of cytochrome d in the membrane electron transport particles of A. vinelandii were investigated at cold temperature. The Soret absorption spectrum of cytochrome d was revealed. Evidently, cytochrome d is the major oxidase that carries out NADH oxidative pathway to O2 at the late-log stage of cell growth in A. vinelandii.
