Spectral temporal characteristics of long latency auditory evoked potentials
A study was performed in which 10 subjects with normal hearing were tested with 30 stimuli to establish a relationship between the transmission band of the adjusted filter and EEG rhythms. The effect of the type of auditory stimulus on the characteristics of long latency auditory evoked potentials was also studied. Data were presented on the dependence of the signal/noise ratio on stimulus intensity. Simple tonal stimulus evoked activity in the .theta.-diapason of the human EEG, and stimuli in the form of amplitude modulation of noise, in the .delta.-diapason. Thus different stimuli may evoke activity in different frequency diapasons of the human EEG.
