Spectrophotometric investigation of l cysteinate complexes with lead ii and bismuth ions

, : Spectrophotometric investigation of l cysteinate complexes with lead ii and bismuth ions. Annali di Chimica 72(11-12): 575-583

Complex formation between L-cysteine and Pb (II) and Bi was studied in a medium of constant ionic strength, 0.50 M (Na,H)ClO4, by a spectrophotometric method. with Pb ions only a 1:1 complex species was evidence, even with a ligand excess, having formula {PbL} (L2- is the cysteinate ion). With Bi, 1:1 and 1:2 species (metal to ligand) are formed, both protonated. The equilibrium constants of the complexes found are calculated.
