Studies of chloroplasts in the inbred lines of radish raphanus sativus var radicola and their hybrid

The inbred line of radish with chlorophyll deficiency (LS-337/24) shows smaller average size of chloroplasts than the line LS-337/25 and the F1 hybrid between them. It also has a lesser number of chloroplasts per cell in comparison to the F1 hybrid. Chloroplast characters, average size and mean number, in radish are genotypically controlled.
