Studies on parasite complex of the over wintering generation of the apple leaf miner phyllonorycter ringoniella lepidoptera gracillariidae in japan

During the fall of 1976, 1977 and 1978, apple leaves containing mines of the apple leaf miner, P. ringoniella, were collected at 39 orchards [in Japan]. Hymenopterous parasites (30) reared from this leaf miner were distributed among the following families: Ichneumonidae (5 spp.), Braconidae (2 spp.), Pteromalidae (1 sp.), Encyrtidae (1 sp.), and Eulophidae (21 spp.). The following 11 parasites were the predominant species: Scambus planatus Hartig (Ichneumonidae), Apanteles kuwayamai Watanabe (Braconidae), Pteromalus sp. (Ptermalidae), Holcothorax testaceipes Ratzeburg (Encyrtidae), Sympiesis laevifrons Kamijo (Eulophidae), S. sericeicornis Nees (Eulophidae), Pnigalio sp. (Eulophidae), Pediobius sp. (Eulophidae), Chrysocharis ujiyei Kamijo (Europhidae), Achrysocharoides ?cilla Walker (Eulophidae) and Achrysocharoides sp. (Eulophidae).
