In the Mozhaysk reservoir the influence of phytoplankton on the bacterioplankton consumption of different organic sources of nitrogen and carbon has been studied during the summer-autumn season in 1982. The specific rate of assimilation of organic substances by bacteria has been found to be higher in blue-green algae absence and depends little on Bacillariophyta and Pyrrophyta algae. Bacteria consumption of carbon dioxide reduces in algae absence (independently of taxones accessories of phytoplankton domination forms).
