Systematic review of late miocene and early pliocene rodents mammalia rodentia in the northern black sea region ussr 1

, : Systematic review of late miocene and early pliocene rodents mammalia rodentia in the northern black sea region ussr 1. Vestnik Zoologii (6): 11-17

Results of studying new materials on Sciuridae, Myoxidae, Eomyidae, Zapodidae, Dipodidae and Spalacidae from the Late Miocene and Early Pliocene of the Odessa Black Sea area are studied for the European part of the USSR. The history of these rodent families is also discussed. The 2 stage migration of the Asian forms to the southern boundaries of the European part of the USSR which occurred in the Late Miocene and at the finite stage of the Pontian is discussed.
