Systematic studies on lichens part 10 conotremopsis weberiana new genus new species of the family of ostropaceae

, : Systematic studies on lichens part 10 conotremopsis weberiana new genus new species of the family of ostropaceae. Folia Geobotanica and Phytotaxonomica 12(3): 313-316

The new genus and species, CONOTREMOPSIS weberiana gen. et sp. nov. described from Tasmania, is distinguished by the following combination of characters: white, filamentous, woolly thallus with Trentepohlia as phycobiont, elongated keeve-like apothecia at first closed, later opening apically, unbranched paraphyses and cylindrical asci containing unusual long filamentous spores with transverse septa. The structure of the apothecium suggests close affinity to Conotrema Tuck and Ramonia Stiz. Em. Vezda. The genus is systematically intermediate between these 2 genera.
