, : Systematic study of the heteroptera of basilicata and calabria southern italy. Memorie del Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Verona (IIA Serie) Sezione Scienze della Vita (3): 1-164

The determination of 630 spp. of Heteroptera, 422 from Basilicata and 564 from Calabria was delineated and the species distribution discussed. The Mediterranean species amount to 55.55%, the European and Euro-Siberian ones to 31.59% and the extrapalaeartic ones up to 12.86%. Drawings and tables are used to clarify the specific value and synonymy of the following species: Notonecta glauca L., Sigara nigrolineata siciliana Wagn., Rhinocoris erythropus L., R. rubricus Germ., Orius pallidicornis Reut., Phytocoris albicans Reut., Caragbochilus weberi Wagn., Strongylocoris obscurus Ramb., Orthocephalus Proserpinae Ms et Rey, Heterotoma acinaciformis O.C., Platycranus erberi Fb., Criocoris sulcicornis Kirs., Auchenocrepis minutus Rmb., Tuponia michalki Wagn., Geocoris megacephalus R., G. siculus Fb., Platyplax inermis Rmb., Stygnocoris fuligineus Geoff., S. faustus Horv. , Acompus laticeps Reb., A. australis Horv., Pionosomus varius Wolff., Stictopleurus abutilon pictus Fb., Staria lunata maroccana Lindb., Holcostethus sphacelatus F., and Eurydema oleraceum L. Dimorphocoris debilis italicus ssp. nov. is described. A geographic map covering the distribution of 70 spp. is provided.
