The time-course of cats' training in instrumental food motivation was evaluated according to a change in the ratio of varying intervals between pedal pressings. The rearrangements of impulse neuronal activity at successive stages of the behavior were analyzed as were those caused by variation of the level of food motivation. Systemic brain processes within the framework of the behavior were organized by food motivation which was dominating at the given moment.
