Systole coriandri gussakaovsky hymenoptera eurytomidae pest of coriander coriandrum sativum l. in chile

, : Systole coriandri gussakaovsky hymenoptera eurytomidae pest of coriander coriandrum sativum l. in chile. Revista Chilena de Entomologia 14: 25-28

The eurytomid Systole coriandri Gussakovsky was detected in fruits of coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.) from central Chile. This species is causing an important damage since the dissection of the fruits revealed a 75% infestation. Each damaged fruit presented one or two specimens of the pest at similar levels. Each specimen damaged only one mericarp. A moderate emergence of adults, and an appreciable proportion of living larvae still in diapause were observed, both in refrigerated and posteriorly incubated fruits, and in fruits maintained at room temperature for extended periods.
