The chlorenchyma of some members of the salicornieae chenopodiaceae

Australian Journal of Botany 30(4): 387-392
The chlorenchyma of some members of the salicornieae chenopodiaceae
Thirty-three taxa belonging to the tribe Salicornieae were examined for .delta.13C ratios, and the anatomy of 19 of these taxa was also examined. Only the Halosarcia indica group has .delta.13C ratios and anatomy consistent with a C4 photosynthetic pathway.
