Mathematico-statistical functions are used to express the diameter structure of forest stand in the forest management. It has been demonstrated by the consistency, impartiality and efficiency of Weibull function of probability distribution density (Weibull 1939) that this function is suitable for this purpose. The estimate of the parameters can be made either by the method after Dubey (1967) or by the iterative procedure mentioned by Cohen (1965). This iteration was used in the program for the Sinclair microcomputer. The program with the data for one forest stand has the size 2 kB and the computation is made in less than a minute. It is assumed that Weilbull function will be applied to the formation of the functional model of forest stand.
