Each of the GA3 doses applied (10, 50 100 mg/l) was effective, at least in some instances, in raising the levels of endogenous growth substances, including IAA. CCC (clorocholinechloride) appeared to lower, in most instances, the level of endogeneous growth substances, including IAA (dose rates 100, 500 and 1000 mg/l). Changes in the activity of enzymes controlling auxin catabolism may be involved. Two such enzymes, catalase and peroxidase, are reported to be inhibited by CCC.
