The effect of kinetin and gibberellic acid on some morphological characteristics of vigna sinensis

The effect of kinetin and gibberellic acid on some morphological characteristics of vigna sinensis

Bulletin de la Societe d'Histoire Naturelle de l'Afrique du Nord 66(1-2): (1976) 123-149

Kinetin treatment increased the stem thickness, branching, number of lateral roots, nodulation and fresh and dry weight of roots. It had little or no effect on shoot length, number and area of leaves, root length, time of flowering and number of fruits and flowers. GA treatment increased shoot length, number and area of leaves, root length, fresh and dry weights of shoots and roots, number of flowers and fruits and induced early flowering. A mixture of the 2 substances suggested that kinetin tended to reduce the effect of GA. GA treatment had little or no effect on stem thickness, branching and nodulation, but decreased the numbers of lateral roots.
