The effect of slow acting nitrogen fertilizers agramid and agroform on the crop yields of a meadow situated on alluvial muck soil on peat subsoil

The effect of slow acting nitrogen fertilizers agramid and agroform on the crop yields of a meadow situated on alluvial muck soil on peat subsoil

Polish Journal of Soil Science 16(1): 57-64

The fertilizing action of agramid K-1 and agroform K-1 was studied in a four-year experiment set up on a meadow. After 4 years it was found that the effect of agramid used at a single annual dose on the meadow crop [grasses] as well as the assimilation of nitrogen by the meadow herb layer were similar to those in the case of urea used at portioned doses. The fertilizing value of agroform used similarly was lower than that of urea and agramid. The fertilizers studied appeared less useful in fertilization at combined doses once in every two years.
