The effects of rotation crops on the survival of root knot nematode root lesion nematode and spiral nematode



Nematropica 10(1): 56-61



Potential rotation crops for replacement of natural soil regeneration in tropical agriculture were grown in nematode infested soil following Celosia argentea. The aggregate nematode population mean was 1/3 the preplant mean after 6 mo. Meloidogyne incognita juvenile soil populations were reduced under 15 crops and maintained under 3. Helicotylenchus pseudorobustus populations were reduced under 8 crops and maintained under 10. Pratylenchus sefaensis was maintained under 17 crops and significantly increased under Crotalaria juncea.
