Abstract
The hairs on the lower side of the leaves furnish new differential characters for the 4 spp. of oaks in the Jura Mountains [Switzerland, France]. In intermediate taxa generally considered as hybrids, the hairs are heteromorphous and intermediate between those of the parental species.
