The in vitro propagation of an endangered species centaurea junoniana compositae

Methods are described for the in vitro induction of shoot organogenesis on explants of cotyledons, hypocotyls, roots and leaves, and for the in vitro propagation through shoot cultures, of C. junoniana, an endangered plants. Shoots can be rooted and readily established as plantlets in soil. This work was carried out as a conservation measure for this species.
