The luminescence properties of pesticides part 3 the fluorescence lifetimes of some carbamates

, : The luminescence properties of pesticides part 3 the fluorescence lifetimes of some carbamates. Journal of Luminescence 17(2): 211-216

The fluorescence lifetimes, .tau.f, of Phenmec, Metacrate, Matacil, Landrin, Sevin and Zectran were recorded using single photon counting techniques. The .tau.f values of these molecules vary by 2 orders of magnitude but the fluorescnece yields vary by a factor of 4; thus, nonradiative processes have varying degrees of importance in the carbamates. The carbamates do not follow any readily discernible Hammett relationship.
