The lung in mucoviscidosis

CCS (Ciencia Cultura Saude) 9(2): 18-23

The lung in mucoviscidosis

On the grounds of a bibliographical review, the authors point out how striking are pulmonary features in mucoviscdosis. This would prompt us to special caution as to matinal bronchorrhea and particularly voracious appetite-which are the clinical data more prominent in this bronchopancreatic syndrome, if not specific to this condition. Assuming that in 80% of cases respiratory symptoms are present, particular care should be taken when studying chest x-rays, since radiological patterns in mucovisci dosis are rather polymorphic.
