The Mackay-Marg-Tonometer continuously recorded the intraocular pressure [in man] as exactly as an electromanometer connected with the eye, provided that the corneal rigidity was eliminitated by a smooth indentation of the cornea by the tip of the probes. The deviation of the recorded values from linearity was considered, and the temperature of the probe was not influenced from outside.
