The results of a preliminary revision of the subfamily HETEROSCHISMOIDINAE subfam. nov. (Entalinidae) are given. The genera Heteroschismoides Ludbrook (H. subterfissus), Spadentalina Habe (S. tubiformis), PERTUSICONCHA gen. nov. (type species Dentalium callithrix Dall and P. tridentata sp. nov. from the Tasman Sea) are considered. The status of the genus Entalinopsis Habe is discussed for which the type species appeared to be identified incorrectly. The terminology used for descriptions of shells and soft body is provided.
