A survey of beech forests of Pirkuli Reserve revealed 78 lichen taxa and 58 mosses. The ecological-cenotic analysis performed on moss-lichen covering of beech forests demonstrated the important role of forest species, with participation of mosses and lichens of open rocky sites, corresponding to the natural features of the territory. Data obtained on the floristic composition of the moss-lichen stratum indicated its significant role in the plant covering of this important reserve.
